A Grain of Sanderlings

Description

September 2021 I made this image several years ago on Cavendish Beach in Prince Edward Island National Park on a September morning. It was one of my first encounters with this species. I liked how they travelled the shore with frenetic energy and were closely connected to their group, known collectively as a "grain."
